UNIT ONE: Changing the World
Purpose: The students will be able
to talk about them and other people’s personal information, what they and other people do.

Bring a collage of different activities and ask
them for the verbs. Make a list on the left side of the board.
Show them a slide where it is explained the
present simple

Ask students the question what do you do every day before work?
Students discuss it in teams of three.

Students discuss it in teams of three.

What do professional people do?
Bring three readings about people different
occupations ( try to find your students’
field of study: a mathematician, a chemist, and college professor, etc).
Set the second question What do you do everyday as a (chemist,
mathematician, biologist,…)?
Students copy the questions on their notebooks
and answer them.
The teacher asks four volunteers to read their
answers.
HOMEWOK.-
Write a short composition about you. Include personal information and things
you do in your professional life.
